RABI ROY: The Poet

Celebrating Independence Day on An Empty Stomach

gif

Freedom of discrimination has steadily increased;
Freedom of expression has gradually eroded;
There is a constant attempt to control citizens' eating habits, clothing, cultural practices, language, and even personal relations.

Hatred and alienation in foreign hegemony have deeper roots than we were taught.

In fact, it has grown into large poison ivy today.

A shining global star in poverty,

Countless numbers of people without jobs, food, and shelter have become highly inappropriate,

And it seems that detention camps are under construction for them.

Parallel to this, the song of the victory of freedom continues.

O wayfarer, can you predict your future?

Today, my homeland is celebrating the diamond jubilee after seventy-five years of independence!

The Horror of Bulls' Horns

Two bulls wander freely through the streets.

They don't care about people or other animals.

They raise their horns and crush their opponents.

No human being is in opposition to them.

Instead, they place their hands on their foreheads as a tribute.

Only a handful of street dogs bark in this monopoly.

It happens in a city with a long historic tradition.

The city is also an attractive tourist destination for many foreign visitors because of its historical heritage.

Why is the behavior of two bulls tolerated?

Why are the bulls that are supposed to be on the farm freely roaming the streets?

A tourist, a foreign scientist, once put these questions to the mayor of the town.

With no hesitation, the mayor responded with a smile—because bulls are treated like the Gods of the land!

The researcher remained silent for a while, then he told himself—

By now I have found an appropriate research topic,

And that is the study of the brains of the people of this great spiritual land.-Rabi Roy

The Border on the Bed

An invisible yet sharp border on the bed,

But the two spent almost an era in the act of false love!

They go to the temple to pray together.

They receive the blessings of the same Guru.

They go on trips to the mountains or the beach together.

Returning they took refuge in their same bordered bed.

They serve each other in sickness,

And in the darkness of midnight, they scratch the bed and look for comfort.

They don't even speak to one another,

Their problems are never discussed with one another,

Although it's generally only by them that their loved ones are aware of the facts,

However, to protect false social status, everyone keeps silent.

How many hearts are killed day-to-day under the same roof to give society a happy look-

Does anyone have any information?

Hidden horrors inside indoors

Virtually everyone, regardless of gender or age, experiences family violence over the course of their lives.

Almost everyone lives in fear of physical and mental harm indoors,

Unfortunately, this fear is believed to be an inherent part of social norms.

By silently accepting the entire life, secretly pushing moans, the heartbeat at some point ends!

This is a world phenomenon.

This is reported to occur irrespective of nation, caste, or religion,

The haves and have-nots don't even discriminate. -Rabi

Conversing with a magpie possessing only one eye

-Rabi Roy

✍️

I once met a homeless person

who had been born without vision in one eye,

And when I inquire about any difficulties he faces related to vision, he didn't replied directly but,

He posed a question that left me puzzled -

How is it that, despite having only one eye,

I have a nearly complete perception of things, sir?

I can see everything whole and not just half, he stated.

I had never had an experience as amazing as this with anyone else before.

I kept mum for a while because I had no readily available answers with me.

Then, I shielded my left eye with my left palm first and then I similarly blocked my right eye with my right palm.

To experience seeing with one eye, I applied this method, and found the stranger was almost right!

Then I glanced at that one-eyed owner's face, and noticed that he was smiling with enthusiasm.

Then he asked me again-

Whether we can see well with one eye, and why we don't offer the other to a blind person, sir?

I didn't provide an immediate response.

I stated that the law of the land wouldn't allow it.

Unsurprisingly, he was unhappy with the answer.

He asked, "Have you ever spoken out to change the law?"

I felt extremely embarrassed, having never encountered such a query before.

My response was, "No, I haven't."

Interestingly, he was smiling, seemingly aware of my answer beforehand.

Following a brief pause, he remarked:

You would never do so, then you would have to sacrifice one of your own eyes first. That's the reality.

I was shocked hearing his comment.

The person I assumed was a babbler unexpectedly revealed himself to be a philosopher.
