স্মৃতির দুয়ারে নাড়া ঝনঝন- A jingle at the door of memory

 

The photo displayed here is a small room for many others, but once it has become a place of pilgrimage for me. Last Wednesday (03.08.2022) when my bus stopped at a crossing on the way to College Street Boipara, I looked out the window and saw an old building after a long time. I was disappointed. I immediately got down there. And I decided to take a last tour of the place.

Today a human rights organization invited me to their fiftieth-anniversary meeting in Srirampur, Hooghly, India.

Bored with the monotony of the meeting, I was waiting for the end.

At fifty years old, I felt, the organization was beginning to suffer from aging problems.

But I was lucky that the venue I went to was a historical place. It was built around the same time as the Battle of Plassey.

It is the Danish Government House.

Srirampur is indeed a place of historical interest.
